Entre Cielos, Luxury Wine Hotel; a slice of heaven in Mendoza Argentina
Located in one of the largest Malbec grape producing vineyards in Latin America, Entre Cielos is the perfect hotel for a romantic getaway or for the lovers of wine. Entre Cielos was opened by three Swiss friends who fell in the love with the natural surroundings and calmness of Mendoza, Argentina. Situated on 20 acres in the Mendoza countryside, the hotel overlooks the vineyard and the stunning Andes Mountains. Entre Cielos is the perfect name for the hotel, which translates to, between heavens.
The hotel has 16 rooms, each one designed differently to give them a truly unique feel. Guests can choose between 5 different styles of room, each named after different variety of wine, such as Classic or Reserva. If being in the middle of it all is your kind of thing, the “limited edition” room is made for you. Located in the middle of the vineyard on stilts, guests can peer out into the stunning countryside while taking a bath on the terrace. At night, the clear window on the ceiling is perfect for staring into the starry night sky.
Each room includes floor to ceiling windows to help enhance the viewing pleasure of the spectacular scenery. The walls are painted with gray streaks and some rooms are adorned with a giant world map. The furniture in the rooms are loud and bold, to help liven up the space, and is a nice contrast to the natural backdrop of the property. Each room also boasts an outdoor terrace with lounge chair.
Naturally, Entre Cielos is known for its wine, having three labels, Marantal Young, Marantal Classic and Gran Marantal in their portfolio. The latter was voted in 2013 by Descorchados as one of the 20 best Malbec’s of the year. Besides the award-winning wines, Entre Cielos is also home to one of the first hamam or Turkish bath in Latin America. Besides using the wine for drinking purposes the spa uses it for health and beauty benefits. Their treatment menu features different wine therapies, including grape seed exfoliation and a soak in tub of wine.
Getting hungry or thinking of the food to pair with all the delicious vino? Head to the hotel restaurant, Katharina, which serves international and local Argentinean cuisines. The hotel’s countryside location calls for many outdoor activities. The attentive staff from the hotel can organized horseback-riding on an authentic farm or hopping out to explore other local vineyards. You can easily wet your palette here at Entre Cielos, a heavenly property boasting nature, pampering and of course food and wine.
